About

I am a contemporary documentary photographer, artist, and educator from Tiohtià:ke (Montréal), currently based in Tkaronto (Toronto).

In my work I am drawn to narratives of home, comfort, rituals, and folklore. I explore the emotional and physical relationships between the individual and place, striving to foster an active engagement with a given environment through a practice called deep-mapping which gives value and importance to the variety of histories and experiences held there.

Being a second-generation Canadian (my parents are Irish and Swiss) has deeply informed my work and growing up away from places that were so important to me was what first prompted to pick up a camera. Photographing to remember, commemorate, and hold on to the resonance and flavour of these landscapes that I felt so connected to.

I now teach part time at Humber College and I am the photography editor for the online literary magazine carte blanche.
